Healing From The Heart
In Matthew the Parable of the Sower Jesus we see Jesus telling the people many things in Stories. As we are well aware his parables are giving us insight into his style of teaching us what it’s like in the Kingdom of God.
We observe a few things here:
- The Farmer “went out” not” sent out”.
- To sow “his” seed.
- He “scattered” the seed.
This is important because we need to know that Scripture teaches us that it is God gives seed to the sower. Ecclesiastes tells us in the morning sow your seed, and at evening withhold not your hand, for you do not know which will prosper, this or that, or whether both alike will be good.
Isaiah also tells us “For as the rain and the snowcome down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater. We hear the prophet Hosea telling us sow for yourselves righteousness, reap steadfast love; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the Lord that he may come and rain righteousness upon you.
